The hospitality at Mr P's is second to none, it is great to see someone so pationate about what they do, can't wait for the next visit and hopefully the summer BBQ.

Hi evreyone at mr p's classic amusements,i have in my collection of machines, club celebration barcrest late 80s crackpot 100 late 80s,and many more your doing ever so well with what you have acheived so far, your arcade truly brings back alot of memories of when i was a little younger back then playing these machines.you have restored and brought back to life alot of old machines, and with alot of hard work to source parts.i just now how difficult it is to get hold of parts that are over 20 years old,but with the right contacts like yourselfes anything is possible and just look what you guys have acheived, well done to you all and keep up the good work for many years to come.

Dave and Amelia. Your arcade is fantastic and is a real credit to you. I had a great day and it was brilliant playing on the Lootshoot after all this time. Thanks you so much for making my birthday a day to remember and for the cake. Keep up the hard work see you again soon.

Brilliant site ! Lots to interest a collector/engineer/restorer like me. Currently have 5 AWP’s, 1 SWP and 2 one arm bandits in the living room ! Particularly like the ‘Work In Progress’ and the ‘House Of Horrors’ pages. The machines with wildlife living in them particularly amused me. Reminded me of when I bought a Barcrest ‘Neptunes Treasure’ machine that had been stored in an out house and for weeks afterwards I would find silver trails on the carpet in the morning. Eventually found the machine had a family of (by now) very hungry snails living in it ! Really would love to visit your arcade soon. Keep up the great work and good luck for the future.

just spoken to you on the phone, what a gent. very helpful and knows exactly what i am talking about! just a shame i am so far away to visit and spend some money in the arcade, which is probably a good thing, or a divorse might be on the cards!!!!

I have stumbled across this website for the first time tonight and it's absoloutely fab, i would love to visit but i'm too far away at the moment, this is the sort of arcade i would love to have in every town/sea front, not like the money grabbing ones we all see these days which are no fun. This website is superb and reallt like all the machines featured. If anyone knows of someone who has an old fruit machine called 'Blue Streak' 2p play from the 1990's post on here as i would like to see this machine again it's an old favourite. Will check back here regular :) ace!!!

Great site, live in Jersey so its a bit of a trek but hope to visit one day. We had a small arcade here which was full of old machines although half the bulbs didnt work! Used to love looking above the reels to try and see the tubes to see if they were full!

Hi. Just wanted to say I thoroughly enjoyed my visit today. It was so good to see all the classic machines I used to play as I was growing up all under one roof, fully restored, and fully functional. Thank you both for your kind hospitality, it was a real pleasure being there today. I loved playing my classics which were Pink Panther (I Jackpoted it twice), Cluedo, Monopoly, Eastenders, Coronation Street and Adders and Ladders. I will definately be coming again. Keep up the brilliant work :)

Being brought on these type of Fruit Machines, I almost had a semi when I saw this website. Sadly I live some 300 miles away. The good news is though I do support Charlton Athletic so next time I go an home I will be sure to tie in a trip to this place see some of my all time favourites.

Hi Dave & Amelia. Just a quick email to thank you both for your hospitality at your jackpotty party day on Monday. Your attention to detail and level of service could not be faulted. We arrived as strangers and after a very enjoyable 4 hours, we sadly had to leave, but at least that was in the knowledge that we had made additional friends with the same passion as ourselves. Keep up the good work and looking forward to visiting again sometime. Best wishes. Dave & Lynda

I have only been once as i live many hundereds of miles away in Middlesbrough, but now thay have got a BFM Upstairs and Downstairs as well as a fortune wheel i am going to have to try and make the long trip down again some time this year, both Dave and Amielia make the place fun and are willing to talk old machines forever, I would love to work for Dave if i could but then the only problem I would have is being a member of staff i would never be able to play the machines again. I made my 2nd visit to Mr P's on 27th Nov for Dave and Amelia's 1 year open celebration. I must say that they were definately in the party spirit and the arcade is a credit to them, especially when you realise the work involved in maintaining what is essentially deemed 'vintage' machines nowadays!! The mix of machines is so well thought out that if you like machines primarily from the 80's/90's, you're sure to find something to take your fancy - it's guaranteed!! This is somewhere I plan to visit many more times in the future (even with the hour and a quarter drive!!) and hope that they have many more happy years there. Hip hip!! Ps, looking forward to the second arcade too. Guys, keep up the good work. Your 'old skool' machine players need you!!!!

I can't thank Dave enough. He has been kind enough to help me fix my own fruit machine (a Maygay - Noel's House Party) after i tried to open the back of the machine by drilling out the lock and a circuit board in the process! A true gent. Best Regards.

Had a great session on Wednesday afternoon, Must recommend Five Liner to everyone, this machine is a gem. Also enjoyed playing Super Line Up, This machine is in such good condition, what a great find Dave. Pleasure meeting Phil as well who kept me supplied with drinks and some friendly conversations. Look forward to seeing you on the 27th Nov for the Party!

You can't get enough of the place, and I'm going to come back on Saturday! I've reccommended it to a couple of friends as well, some of them say that the deals are too good to be true! Well we'll show em they're completely true. Need to get back on the S-K-I-L-L and the sneaky jackpots! A great place to be!

Mr P's is a real find, I have only had the pleasure of visiting once a few months ago when in the area on business, just wish I didn't live 180 miles away. Good news is I hope to be in the area again next week! Its impossible to enjoy the horror machines of today, yet this gold mine allows you to remember what arcades used to be like - FUN! The team are really friendly , the machines are well serviced (All the bulbs work!) and the game play is great. Can't recommend this place enough.

Well what can I say about Dave and Mr P's I wish to god it was more close to home it would be a second place to stay if it was he has done so much for the FME sites with more to come his machines are fair clean but most of all CLASSICS and I cant wait to visit again SOON
Jon said on Aug 15, 2010 2:29 AM
Went back today, my third time, this arcade never fails to give people a good time! Friendly staff, friendly customers...and if you lose all your money, you feel like you've had a great time and it was all worth it, instead of feeling like a fool. The promotions are great, the machines pay out and the free drinks are nice too! Basically, this place does what it says on the site, which is more than what you can say for most seaside arcades! Seriously, give this place a try.

OMG, I can't believe Barcrest Cash Counter had to be pulled for being unpopular - it was one of the best fruit machines ever (as long as all the bulbs for the word S-K-I-L-L were working)! Very smart looking too. Hope to visit your arcade if I am ever in the vicinity...
Cliff Cook said on Jun 29, 2010 2:46 PM
Visited Mr P's During a weeks holiday in London, the machines are all classics, and the only Noel Edmonds in the arcade is on the old maygay Noels House Party, Mr P is friendly and will talk about old machines forever, the percentages are spot on and this place is truly an Amusement arcade, if your in Gravesend, and you like old fruit machines, want your tenner to last more the 10 mins, then you need to visit Mr P's classic arcade
VINNY MINER said on Jun 22, 2010 3:18 AM
Seeing all these classics takes me back to when an amusement arcade meant amusement! perhaps the machine manufacturers should sit up and take note that their latest creations for last 10/15 years are on a par with Frankensteins monster! THESE are the classics and its great to see them cared for
